when you're here

You'll feel welcome.  Knowlton is not a club for the perfect or elite (it's also not a crutch for the confused and misled).  The church is a haven (to borrow a phrase from Eugene O'Neill) amid the 'strange, dark interludes' of life.  In that way it is a home.  But the church is also a sending place, a launching pad for people re-energized by the gospel of Jesus to carry his gospel and his life out into their everyday lives.  In that way the church is also a mission. We are sought out by God in order to be sent out by God.

So we invite you in Jesus' name.  You don't need to have religious hair or perfect kids or even believe it to come--you need to investigate it for yourself, and our church is for doubters and skeptics as much as the already convinced.  When you arrive, navigation is simple:   adults, junior high and senior high on the main floor; grade school, kindergarden, pre-k and nursery children are on the lower level.  Our new facility in development, the Christian Community Center, will give us even greater opportunities to reach our community as we expand into needed space.  But even now we've got plenty of coffee and friendly people to get anyone where they need to go, loving and capable teachers to nurture your children, and a sense that, since we're always growing, all of us are new and glad to welcome you as well.   Our first hour classes for all ages start at 9:30am, followed by worship at 10:30am, which is itself followed by even more coffee.  We have groups of all kinds which can be learned about on this site, and plugged into easily during the week.  We look forward to seeing you some Sunday
