From all the metaphors the Bible uses to describe God's people (body, house, family, nation, etc) it's obvious the church is its own society within a society, where everyone is important, with gifts to share.  The community of Jesus should be the very best of neighbors in the world.  We are people who have been healed, restored, liberated, forgiven.  As followers of Jesus, we are called to bring that same peace, restoration, and hope to the world.  So Knowlton is committed to developing and promoting ministries that engage our culture, our area, and our world.  We are also committed to growing in our awareness of the need for compassion and justice around us, particularly to those most at risk of despair, because that is what the kingdom of God is about: hope for the hopeless.
